Weekend Mountain Hikes for Wellbeing
There's something specific about reaching a mountain summit after a hard week that nothing else quite replicates. Our weekend hikes are designed for urban professionals, remote workers, and anyone managing the weight of a busy life — structured, moderate-paced outings that restore clarity without demanding fitness credentials.
Routes range from gentle coastal walks to Wicklow summit hikes, and every outing is led by experienced guides who understand that the goal isn't speed — it's restoration. We factor in rest points, optional pace groups, and a finish that leaves you genuinely recharged.
Wilderness Therapy-Inspired
Supportive Nature Experiences
Structured outdoor experiences for adults who want guided nature time that goes a little deeper — without clinical settings, formal referrals, or medical framing. Just purposeful time outdoors with skilled facilitation.
Reflective Outdoor Sessions
Small-group guided experiences that combine walking with structured reflection stops, simple mindfulness cues, and space for honest conversation. Designed for adults navigating burnout, life transitions, mild anxiety, or a general sense of disconnection who want structured support in a non-clinical, outdoor environment.
Our facilitators are trained in outdoor group dynamics and hold recognized first-aid and mountain leadership certifications. The emphasis is always on peer support, shared movement, and the gentle therapeutic power of natural landscapes.
Recovery Peer Groups
Guided outdoor outings specifically formatted for peer support and recovery communities seeking healthy, energising social activity together in nature.
Resilience Challenge Days
Longer, more challenging guided hikes that use managed physical challenge, group problem-solving, and shared achievement to build emotional resilience through experience rather than conversation.
Important: About Our Approach
Éire Peak Pathways's nature experiences are community social programs and are not a substitute for clinical mental health treatment, therapy, or medical care. Our facilitators are outdoor professionals — not therapists or counsellors. Participants with active mental health conditions are encouraged to speak with their healthcare provider before joining. We design these programs to complement, never replace, professional care.
Corporate Team-Building Workshops
Your team spends enough time in meeting rooms. Our outdoor team-building workshops give Dublin companies a genuinely different way to develop communication, trust, and collaboration — on a mountain, in a forest, or along a coastal trail.
We design each corporate programme around your organisation's goals, team size, and the specific dynamics you want to shift. Hybrid and remote-first teams find these outings especially impactful: there's something about navigating terrain together that no Zoom icebreaker can replicate.
Guided challenge scenarios that reveal natural leaders and strengthen decision-making in your team's structure.
Structured group tasks and navigation exercises that build honest communication and mutual reliance between colleagues.
Summit moments and group milestones that create lasting shared memories and boost team morale beyond the workday.
Evidence-backed nature exposure as a genuine investment in your people's mental health, focus, and motivation at work.
Community & Inclusion Programs
Outdoor adventures should be for everyone. Our community programs are built from the ground up to be genuinely welcoming, accessible, and affirming — wherever you're coming from and however you move through the world.
New Residents & Immigrants
Structured group outings in English with optional multi-language support — a friendly, non-pressured way to explore Ireland, build local friendships, and feel at home faster.
LGBTQ+ Groups
Safe, affirming, and fun outdoor social outings for LGBTQ+ individuals and groups. All guides are trained in inclusive facilitation and committed to creating spaces of genuine belonging.
Women's Groups
Women-only guided hikes and nature days offering a comfortable, empowering environment for those who prefer women-led spaces for outdoor exploration and social connection.
Accessible & Adaptive Outings
Carefully chosen routes and adapted formats for participants with mobility considerations, support needs, or disability support organizations seeking inclusive nature access.
Seniors & Older Adults
Gentle-paced outdoor social programs for older adults — focused on moderate activity, social engagement, and the joy of Ireland's landscape without demanding physical output.
Community Organizations
Partnerships with charities, social inclusion bodies, refugee and asylum support organizations, and local community groups who need trusted, structured outdoor programming for their members.
Our Inclusion Promise
Every Éire Peak Pathways program operates under an explicit welcome policy. No participant should feel out of place because of their background, identity, ability, or experience level. Our guides receive ongoing inclusion training and every program design is reviewed for genuine accessibility — not just tick-box compliance. If your group has specific needs, contact us before booking and we will make it work.
Educational Nature Experiences
Classrooms are important. So are mountains. Our educational outdoor programs bring experiential learning to life for schools, youth organisations, and alternative education providers — combining ecology, teamwork, and genuine adventure into structured, curriculum-aligned outings.
Every educational experience is age-appropriate, adaptable to different learning goals, and delivered by guides who know how to engage young people with Ireland's natural landscape in ways that stick long after the day is done.
Guided exploration of Dublin's mountain and coastal ecology — flora, fauna, geology, and the stories held in the Irish landscape.
Outdoor group challenges designed to develop communication, problem-solving, and collective resilience in students of all ages.
Practical outdoor skills from map reading to leave-no-trace principles — empowering young people with practical confidence in natural spaces.
Tailored programs for youth support agencies and alternative education settings where building self-belief is the primary learning outcome.
Youth, Family & Early-Stage Social Development
Some of the most important work we do happens with young people navigating the world for the first time — and families looking for experiences that build connection, confidence, and communication together.
Teen Adventure Programs
Structured outdoor experiences for 14–18 year olds designed around building real-world confidence, social skills, and a sense of capability through guided challenge in natural environments.
At-Risk Youth Partnerships
Working directly with youth support agencies, social workers, and care leavers programs to provide structured outdoor mentorship for young adults navigating difficult transitions.
Family Nature Days
Weekend family outings with mixed-age trail options, simple nature education, and a guide who knows how to keep children engaged and parents relaxed. Memories over distance.
Social Skills Through Nature
Programs specifically designed for children and young adults who benefit from structured, low-pressure group experiences where social skills can develop naturally through shared activity.
Young Adults Leaving Care
We partner with care-leaving support services in Dublin to provide young adults with positive peer connection, outdoor mentorship, and a supportive community during a critical period of transition. These programs are offered at reduced cost through partnership funding.
About Éire Peak Pathways
Éire Peak Pathways grew from a simple conviction: that the mountains around Dublin are one of the city's most underused assets for wellbeing, community, and genuine human connection. We started with small weekend hikes and a shared belief that the outdoors could help people feel less alone.
Today, our team of certified mountain guides, outdoor facilitators, and community program designers works with individuals, corporate teams, schools, and community organisations across Dublin and the wider Irish mountain landscape. Every program we build is grounded in three things: safety first, genuine inclusion, and meaningful outdoor experience.
We are based in Dublin 1, and we operate across the Dublin Mountains, Wicklow Mountains National Park, coastal trails, and forest parks — familiar terrain to our team, unforgettable landscapes for first-timers.
Trust, Safety & Participant Stories
The most honest measure of what we do is what participants say after they've come home, dried their boots, and had a night's sleep. Here's what some of them told us.
"I moved to Dublin from Italy and didn't know a soul. The 'New to Dublin' hike was the first time I genuinely laughed and connected with people here. By the summit I had exchanged numbers with three people I now call proper friends. Cannot recommend enough."
"We booked the corporate day for our remote-first team of 22. Half of them had never met in person. The guide was extraordinary at weaving genuine team challenge into what was also just a beautiful day out. The post-trip energy in our Slack channels told us everything."
"After six months of burnout I was genuinely afraid I'd lost the ability to enjoy anything. The weekend wellbeing hike gave me back something I didn't know I was missing — just the feeling of being present outdoors. No pressure, no performance. Just walking and breathing."
"Our school group of mixed-ability 15-year-olds came back transformed. The guide managed the range of abilities perfectly — no one was left behind and no one was bored. The ecology content was genuinely fascinating even for our most resistant students."
"As a women's group we're careful about who we book outdoor activities with. From the first email to the last step of the trail, everything about Éire Peak Pathways felt thoughtful and safe. The guide set the tone beautifully — relaxed, professional, and really skilled at facilitating conversation."
"The young people I work with often struggle to engage with structured programs. On the challenge hike they were engaged from minute one — I've never seen some of them communicate as openly as they did on that trail. The guide clearly had real experience working with young adults."
